Nat accidentally bumps into Luc in a long supermarket checkout queue. They are both at senior school but have not seen each other for many years.

Nat

Oops sorry!

Luc

That’s okay.

Nat

Oh! Don’t I know you? Were we at Primary school together?

Luc

Were we?

Nat

Yes. Is your name…Luc?

Luc

Yes it is. Ah, I think I remember you now. We were in the same class.

Nat

Yes. Our teacher was Miss Lemon. They were great times weren’t they?

They edge a bit further along in the queue

This duologue is ideal for Grade 2 exams – but can also be used at other levels.
Either of the characters Nat and Luc can be male or female.
You may be able to find two shopping trolleys as props, but if not you can improvise with two chairs pushed along with some items on the seat.
You can use a table as the checkout.
Time this piece carefully as you move along the stage bit by bit until you reach the checkout at the right time in the script.
