SHOOTING STARS

Shooting Stars is a fantastic series of new material from Revolution Arts for groups of 3-20 children aged 3+. These pieces are designed for any early years or primary settings with English elements such as nurseries, kindergartens or reception classes, play-based learning, after-school or weekend clubs for young language learners, summer schools or creative camps.

They have also been developed as ideal pieces for performance as part of Trinity Stars (Young Performers Awards) at Bronze, Silver and Gold.

Clouds premiere 1
Clouds premiere 2

Clouds is the first in the series of Shooting Stars pieces – ideal for Bronze level. This was presented on 8 March as part of the Spotlight Festival 2026. Workshop leader Darren Royston was the narrator and worked with 19 children from schools across the Bangkok region in this premiere performance in front of a live audience which was also videoed and can be used as an online entry for the Trinity Stars (Trinity Performance Awards) assessment.

Shooting Stars have been taken from real musical theatre pieces by composer Nicholas Keyworth and writer Philip Jamieson.

The teacher or group leader guides the performance – their involvement depends on the level, with an emphasis on natural interaction and enjoyment. These pieces are a wonderful introduction to the world of live performance, as well as having real educational value and integrity in their own right.

These pieces are a terrific introduction to performance for young people. They can provide the perfect opportunity to create a performance for parents, as part of a concert, for a festival or competition – or just for fun!
