SHOOTING STARS: STORM

ABOUT

Storm is based on an extract from the musical The Moonrakers by Nicholas Keyworth and Philip Jamieson. It is ideally suited for Silver level Trinity Stars (Young Performers Awards) from Trinity College London.

The story is set on a beautiful pond where the pond dwellers live in harmony until a terrible storm threatens their existence.

The children are divided into two equal groups of Pond Dwellers: Duckings (young Ducks) and Goslings (young Geese). They also make masks for their characters which they can colour and decorate individually. These are worn during the performance.

The teacher or group leader takes the role of Hong – the Thai word for Swan – who looks over the pond keeping everyone safe. Hong introduces the piece at the start.
