REFLECTION

For Initial to Grade 3

What is Reflection?

  • This is a valuble opportunity to reflect on your performances.
  • Find out about the performance and rehearsal processes.
  • Discover how much you know – and how you can imagine – about your characters, the context and what happens in your scenario.
  • Depending on the grade, reflection can cover meaning, mood, the characters involved and technical skills.

Reflection in Trinity’s Acting Exams

  • This task is for all candidates at the end of the exam.
  • Three questions will be asked by an examiner in face-to-face exams or by the teacher or another person in digital exams.
  • In pairs exams both candidates will be involved in the discussion.
  • You will be assessed on your responses.
  • Notes cannot be used.

Hints & tips

  • Download all the questions relevant to your grade.
  • Think about your answers to all the possible questions.
  • Make sure your responses are authentic and personal rather than delivering a memorised answer.
  • Practise with a friend or your teacher by giving them the questions to ask in a random order.
  • Aim to be as confident and fluent as possible with your responses.
